Psalm XX111a
This is from RAF Air Sea Rescue/Marine Craft Club, Tenby)
The Lord ......... is my skipper I shall not want
He maketh me to lie down in rough crew rooms,
He maketh me seasick in still water.
He laugheth at my distress,
He leadeth me on night details for his names sake.
Yey though I sail through the valleys and crests of twenty foot waves, I will feel no evil,
For thou art in the chartroom,
They compass and ruler they comfort me
Thou prepareth a table before me in the presence of force nine gales.
Thou anointest my uniform with soup,
My cup runneth over the mess deck
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me on day of my life,
And I shall be posted away from the “......” for ever. Anon
Editor’s comment: The name of the skipper and boat have been left out purposely.
